PRESS REVIEWS & FEATURES
« A performance not to be missed. »
WOXX magazine, world music section, April 2025
« If the group’s music sometimes carries the mist of the Highlands or the heather of Brittany, it also holds the mineral warmth of Luxembourgish valleys and the fragile song of rivers where legend shimmers beneath each wet stone. »
Tageblatt – Portrait “Authentica – Mémoire vibrante” – Octobre 2025
« Anyone who has seen the band live knows how well-crafted and professional their stage presence is. »
WOXX magazine, world music section, April 2025
« Menichetti sings with a very beautiful voice in English, French, and Luxembourgish, masters numerous instruments, and shines especially with her strong playing on various types of flutes, including a typical Luxembourgish one, the clay Péckvillchen. (…) A truly exquisite album that rises far above Celtic-music clichés. »
Folker – song, folk & world magazine - Album review – June 2025
« The audience was won over by the charisma and talent of the musicians. »
Tageblatt - May 2023

«The nation's most promising folk-celtic artist. »
Tageblatt, March 2024
«The Luxembourgish band Authentica with front woman Martina Menichetti was able to surprise and prove that even traditonal songs can definitely be given a Celtic shape. Some of Authentica's folk interpretations sounded like the original Jethro Tull sound, with Menichetti's flute sounding no less majestic than Ian Anderson's. With a voice close to Joan Baez, she makes Authentica a promising newcomer on the national scene.»
Tageblatt, June 2022
« Martina Menichetti est une artiste multifacette. Luxembourgeoise d’origines italiennes ayant fait ses études musicales aux Pays-Bas, à Vienne et en Allemagne, elle lance son nouveau projet musical, Authentica. Un projet qui lui ressemble, entre histoire, mythes et légendes d’ici et musiques folkloriques d’ailleurs, avec une grande inspiration celtique. »
